About ALP

ALP, a 501 c 6 nonprofit corporation, was chartered in January 2010 and immediately developed a viable website for the purpose of conducting a national community leadership conference.  That successful event was held in Fort Worth, Texas in April  2010. Immediately following this event, the first Regional Leadership Conference was held in Columbus Ohio in June 2010.

This website has been established to offer its members a searchable data base, with capabilities for eNEWS (electronic newsletters), online membership directory, posting for job opportunities, links to professional resources, web tools, and social networking.  Monthly  conference calls (free) are available for members to share information about best practices, critical issues and new trends as well as network among peers with other community leadership program professionals.

ALP will be conducting several Regional Leadership Conferences throughout the year.  These are designed at affordable fees to connect directors, staff, volunteers, and board members of leadership groups for learning, sharing, and recharging.
