Annual Leadership Awards Available

The Association of Leadership Professionals is pleased to offer two prestigious awards for members and their selected nominees. The awards program coincides with the annual leadership conference.  The annual leadership conference will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, June 20-22, 2012 at the Marriott Hilton, in downtown Indianapolis.   ALP and the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership is collaborating to bring a forum that will allow our nominees to be recognized during the conference.

NOTE:  Only Member Programs are eligible.  Individual Membership is for the representative member only.

The Distinguished Leader Award  Community Leadership Programs are encouraged to nominate a graduate or multiple graduates who have achieved excellence. Graduates of leadership programs who exemplify the spirit and goals for civic involvement and trusteeship established by your local leadership organization are eligible for this award and selection and criteria are at the discretion of the organization submitting the nomination.

There are two ways to recognize the Distinguished Leader Award winner:

1.  CONFERENCE recognition is for award recipients who will attend the 2012 Leadership Conference in Indianapolis. Recipients attending the conference will be listed in the recognition program with their photo and will be honored at the recognition reception on Wednesday, June 20th. Programs that choose this option are encouraged to honor the recipient at an appropriate local public forum as well.

2.  LOCAL recognition is for award recipients who cannot attend the conference.  We realize that the timeline for our conference recognition does not fit all member programs. Therefore, the LOCAL recognition opportunity has been added so programs are able to present the DLA award on their own and do it in their community.  We will provide the award, but it is up to the local program to plan how they will present the award.  Recipients will be listed in the conference recognition program with their photo.  The local program will receive two copies of the Recognition Book after the conference.

For both options, please complete the online nomination form or the PDF form and include the following:

1. Narrative statement of 50-100 words on your nominee's specific accomplishments within the community (rather than a listing of titles, board service, etc.).    PLEASE KEEP TO 50-100 WORDS

2. Nomination fee of $100 includes award, shipping, two conference programs with listing.  You may pay online when completing the online form OR mail the completed form and a check made payable to: Association of Leadership Professionals

3.Black and white high resolution photo of the individual (for appearance in the recognition program).  Send to: info@alp-leaders.net. NOTE: Applications will not  be accepted until both the form and photo arrive, once those are received, the nominator will be notified.  DEADLINE EXTENDED:  April  20, 2012
